Reptiles

Reptiles are a type of vertebrate. They are cold-blooded animals and can have dry scaly or horny skin. Most reptiles lay eggs with leathery shells, but a some species give birth to live young. Because they are cold-blooded, reptiles are more common in warm countries than in UK and Ireland and are not found in North or South Pole.

Reptiles are very popular as pets, but not everyone that’s gets a reptile will look after it properly.

UPDATE:

For over 20 years we have happily, humanely and safely looked after our rescued reptiles, however: Due to stringent recommendations by the Northern Ireland Zoo inspector we have found it financially impossible to adhere to his most recent demands and we sadly have to re-home all our reptiles. We are replacing them with a new Rain Forest Insectarium display.
