Long Grass at Woo

This time of the year you will not help but notice that we let some grass grow in and around our aviaries. This not because we are lazy, this is the start of breeding season and some of our owls nest on the ground in the long grass, as they would in the wild.
We can not go in with strimmer’s and lawn mowers as it would scare the owls of their eggs and they also might damage them. It will get trimmed later in the season.
