Owl Experiences

Individual “Owl Experience’s” are a fantastic way to enhance your visit to us and learn a little more about Owls.

The experience is additional £35 and it is usually best to pre-booked. This is for between 1 to 4 people.

July 2026: At the moment the owl experiences are limited as i have broken my arm, and we are training 3 new members of staff to take the experiences.

Individual Owl Experiences are available for an additional £35 and must be pre-booked. This experience is suitable for groups of 1–4 people.

An Owl Experience is a personal meeting with one of our educational demonstration owls, accompanied by one of our keepers. The experience lasts approximately 10 minutes or so, depending on how busy the centre is. During the session, the keeper will explain the owl’s species and share the story of the owl you will be meeting.

These are NOT owl holding experiences, we do not let everyone handle our owls (especially small children) and other birds of prey this can only be assessed on meeting visitors, these are birds of prey with very strong feet, razor sharp talons, sharp strong beaks, they can be unpredictable as can the visitors. Nervous visitors or visitors with underlying medical or mental issues that we obviously do not know about can lead to accidents. We need to ensure the safety of our birds, visitors and staff.

Unfortunately, small children will not be permitted to hold any owls.

Availability for Owl Experiences is limited. Pre-booking requires payment in advance, as previous no-shows have resulted in lost income for the centre.

If you have not pre-booked, you are welcome to enquire upon arrival. However, as we have a limited number of volunteer staff trained to handle the birds of prey, Owl Experiences cannot be guaranteed without a prior booking.
